The mission of the Texas Veterans Museum, Inc. is to plan and build a world-class veterans museum honoring all five branches of service, also including the Merchant Marines beginning from the American Revolution and continuing to the present incorporating allies of America, with attention to education, economic development, encouraging tourism, promoting veteran-to-civilian transitions, and highlighting advances in medicine and war-fighting technologies.
This effort known as The American Veterans Museum is state of the art. Its technologically advanced features and showcases will provide the best static, live and and participatory exhibits.
In addition to the exhibits, this the entire museum complex is planned to be adaptive to the local community. This master planned complex, designed by one of the top architects in the Greater Houston Area, will include commercial and residential areas which will enhance the museum facility and green spaces.
The initial design concept covering approximately 67 acres will contain up to 10,000 parking spaces, over 540,000 square feet of exhibit area, maximum green space and facility utilization, condominiums, and business locations for new and existing commerce.
